Hello. I'm pleased to meet you.

Growing up, I split my time between my mothers in Long Beach, California, and my father in Holon, Israel, and I consider both countries home. I was honored to serve congregations as a senior rabbi in Coral Springs, FL; as a rabbi-educator in Sacramento, CA; and as a student rabbi in Marion, IN; Richmond, IN, and Mattoon, IL. Currently I reside in southern California and serve the Los Angeles, Long Beach and Orange County communities, serving as a spiritual counselor, officiating at life-cycle events, and teaching classes to youth and adults in local synagogues.
I am an approved officiant with 18 Doors (formerly Interfaith Family), Unorthodox Celebrations, and Great Officiants, and am certified in premarital counseling through Prepare-Enrich. As a rabbi on call at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary, I create funeral and memorial ceremonies for loved ones of those in the Los Angeles area who are not connected to a synagogue. A faculty member for the Union for Reform Judaism's online Introduction to Judaism program, I meet, learn and grow with students from all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. I also serve on the Rabbinic Advisory Council of Bruchim, an organization that advocates for the open inclusion of those who feel differently about the circumcision tradition.
My writings on spirituality, inclusion and Jewish parenting have appeared in various publications including the Jewish Community Chronicle, the book The Sacred Encounter: Jewish Perspectives on Sexuality, and the CCAR [Central Conference of American Rabbis] Journal. I was ordained and hold a M.A. in Hebrew Letters from the Reform Jewish seminary, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, and earned a M.A. in Philosophy from Cal State Long Beach and a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Whittier College.
My husband and I have a nonbinary high schooler and teen and tween sons, and I spend my free time chauffeuring, endlessly grocery shopping, and reading historical fiction.
